TEXTURE WITH DEPTH

Two distinctive stone looks.

Start with the texture that speaks to you. These two Travertino finishes have their own character, technique and balance of smooth and textured areas.

01 / PIETRA SPACCATA

Broken stone.
Layered bronze.

Pietra Spaccata brings the movement of fractured stone to a decorative wall. Selected textured bands flow through smoother, compressed Travertino, with bronze highlights and a layered dark wash adding depth.

The design follows the wall: broad quiet areas, irregular mineral movement and a burnished finish that catches the light.

Fractured texture   ·   Bronze detail   ·   Burnished depth

How the look is created
Travertino is selectively textured, flattened and burnished. Fiesta Metallic Bronze highlights, a black colour wash and a satin varnish complete the reference finish.

02 / PITTED TRAVERTINE CONCRETE EFFECT

Weathered texture.
A quieter rhythm.

Irregular pits sit beside smooth, compressed areas to create a travertine-inspired surface with a contemporary concrete character. It is a tactile, understated choice when you want natural-looking variation and depth.

Our Pitted Travertine Concrete Effect uses a grey Travertino system. The balance of pitting, flatter areas and burnishing shapes the final appearance.

Irregular pitting   ·   Stone character   ·   Subtle movement

How the look is created
Grey Quartz Primer is followed by a tight Travertino first coat. A second coat is pressed on in random areas, then flattened and burnished to retain the pitting. The reference system is finished with Polyvine varnish.

A DISTINCTIVE DECONCRETO TECHNIQUE

Marbled Deconcreto.
Colour in motion.

For a more expressive wall, separately coloured Deconcreto mixes are applied in an Italian Venetian plaster marbling style. The movement comes from the placement and working of the colours across the surface.

Built from your colour palette

Each Deconcreto colour is mixed with Polyvine colourants before application. The colours are then worked together to build marble-inspired movement and layered variation.

This is a Deconcreto finish using a marbling technique. Discuss the colours and scale of movement with us, then agree a sample before the full wall is started.

HELP WITH YOUR CHOICE

Your finish questions, answered.

A few practical details to help you move from inspiration to the right material and application plan.

What is the difference between Pietra Spaccata and Pitted Travertine?

Both use Travertino. Pietra Spaccata has selected fractured bands, burnished areas and bronze detail in the reference design. Pitted Travertine uses irregular pits and flatter compressed areas for a weathered stone and concrete character.

Which finish creates a marble look?

Decoveno Stucco Veneziano creates a smooth Venetian marble appearance. Marbled Deconcreto is a separate option, using different Deconcreto colour mixes applied in a Venetian marbling style. The materials and resulting textures differ.

Can I choose the colour and level of texture?

Colour and texture depend on the product, tinting and application technique. Share your palette and preferred reference with us so we can discuss suitable options. A sample helps you assess the finish in your own lighting.

Can these finishes be used outside or in a bathroom?

Suitability depends on the complete system, substrate and exposure. Tell us whether the area is indoors, outdoors or exposed to water before choosing the primer and protection. A decorative topcoat alone does not establish a waterproof wet-area system.

How much material will I need, and what will it cost?

The area, surface condition, texture, number of layers and protective finish affect quantities and cost. Send approximate dimensions, photographs and your chosen look so we can help identify the materials for your project.

Do you offer products and application training?

Yes. You can explore the linked Decomin products and our decorative finishes application training. Ask us about current course availability and guidance for the finish you want to create.
