THE DECOMIN DESIGN JOURNAL
Seamless Bathroom Finishes: Beyond Ordinary Tiles
Luxury is in the finish. Imagine sculpted stone, warm concrete, luminous metallics or polished Venetian plaster instead of conventional tiled feature walls.
Decomin decorative finishes bring personality and bespoke craftsmanship to bathroom interiors. The best system for each wall depends on water exposure, substrate and protective specification.
Images are design concepts and finish references, not evidence of waterproof performance.
Why consider a seamless-looking decorative bathroom wall?
Continuous-looking surfaces, fewer distracting visual lines, individual textures and a considered colour palette create a calmer, more architectural space. Choose a statement finish above a vanity, on a bathroom feature wall or wherever the substrate and exposure allow.
Four design directions: natural stone character, layered concrete, metallic shimmer and glossy Venetian plaster.

REFRESH EXISTING TILES
Decotile: a new look over sound existing wall tiles
Replacing the appearance of tilework does not always require removing every tile. Decomin offers Decotile Primer for suitable clean tiled surfaces and Decotile, a two-coat covering system which can form a new base for an appropriately specified decorative finish.
The existing wall must be assessed first: loose tiles, moisture defects, movement and inadequate waterproofing require remedial work. Compatibility with the chosen final finish and protective coating must be confirmed.
Beautiful design, correctly specified
General bathroom walls, splash zones and shower enclosures have different technical requirements. None of these finishes should be assumed inherently waterproof. For direct-water exposure, verify the waterproofing/tanking system, adhesion, compatible protective finish, junction details and ongoing maintenance with Decomin and a competent installer. Do not imply Decotile replaces waterproofing.
